Enjoying uninterrupted views of the Dornoch Firth and situated in a peaceful location in the north Highland countryside, but still conveniently close to the seaside resort town of Dornoch, this 3-bed pet-friendly holiday home really does offer the best of both worlds.

On the ground floor of the property you can unwind in the spacious lounge, which has a bright and welcoming ambience with a sofa to sprawl out on as well as a TV with Freeview channels and a music station to provide the tunes. For enjoying sunny summer weather and immersing yourself in the gorgeous surroundings, the lounge opens onto a sun porch with four armchairs and French doors to the patio.

The stylish dining kitchen provides all you need for your self-catering break in the Highlands, including an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and a variety of kitchenware. You can also sit down together for meals at the dining table which has 6 chairs.

The master bedroom is also on the ground floor, with a king-size bed flanked by bedside units with lights, as well as a chest of drawers, wardrobe, and mirror. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. Also on this floor is a wet room, suitable for those with mobility issues, including a shower, toilet, and washbasin.

Upstairs you’ll find a further two bedrooms, both of which contain a super-king bed which can be set up as two singles on request, as well as each having bedside units with lights, a chest of drawers, and a radio. There’s also a family bathroom.

The property has a fenced garden out front with a lawn, ideal for making the most of the views. There’s a decking area containing outdoor furniture for sitting out, as well as a barbecue for al fresco meals, and a washing line for drying clothes.

Lower Whinhill is ideal for a break in a tranquil Highland location, with countryside surroundings and views of the Dornoch Firth, but also makes a great place from which to visit the town of Dornoch itself which is just a mile away. Also nearby is a golf course, fishing opportunities, and a gorgeous beach, and there’s direct access to Camore Woods to the north for beautiful forested walks.
