What an amazing place Portnellan is: peaceful, relaxing, away from the daily hustle and bustle and utterly enjoyable. The Heron Lodge is a smallish one for up to three people but it is roomy enough to provide a spacious feel. A huge plus is the large west facing terrace that is equipped with table and chairs which invites you to enjoy the afternoon/evening sun after a day out.

We stayed in Heron Lodge which was lovely, cosy and well equipped. It has a balcony that looks out over beautiful woodland and felt very secluded - excellent for bird lovers.
