There’s plenty of room to unwind and enjoy yourself in Orchard Cottage. A large living room boasts plenty of comfortable furniture, a 55” flatscreen TV with internet connection and Bluetooth soundbar speaker, a Bluetooth DAB radio sound system, and a wood-burning stove in a stone fireplace to give a traditional, warming ambience. There’s also a library and study room, perfect for relaxing and reading or getting some work done.

The open-plan kitchen and dining room has a rustic, country-kitchen feel to it, with a dining table that can seat up to 10. With two ovens, an induction hob, and a large fridge-freezer with an ice machine, among other cooking facilities, you’ll find this to be the perfect place to prepare delicious meals.

The property has four bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor so particularly suited to those with mobility issues (though access is not entirely step-free due to two small sets of stairs on the ground floor). This room contains a super-king double bed which can be separated into two singles if desired, and also has an en-suite wet room.

Upstairs you’ll find two more comfortable bedrooms. The first has a super-king double bed. A loft bedroom with twin beds is also accessible through this room, ideal for children but suitable for adults too. These two bedrooms share a luxurious en-suite bathroom which contains a freestanding nickel bathtub as well as a large walk-in shower. The other bedroom also has a super-king double bed, though they can be arranged as two singles if preferred, and also has an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower.

There’s also a separate utility room with washing facilities, including a washer-dryer.

It should go without saying that you’ll want to spend some time outside enjoying the beautiful surroundings, and the house has a lovely garden that’s perfect for this, complete with a charcoal barbecue and an outdoor eating area with comfortable furniture on a sheltered, sunken patio.

If you’d like to venture further afield, the private drive leading into the estate is also a bridleway and footpath which will take you to a local open parkland area that’s perfect for a stroll, as well as connecting up to a range of walking and cycling trails.

Orchard Cottage is the perfect place from which to explore the South Somerset countryside and its natural beauty, countless little villages, and local pubs. You’ll also find yourself conveniently close to the historic town of Ilminster.
