Arrow Bank Country Holiday Park is a 5-star resort that's ideal for those seeking a peaceful countryside escape. A scenic river elegantly winds its way through the perfectly maintained grounds, offering a tempting fishing opportunity or simply adding the final touch to the relaxing atmosphere of this rural retreat. Arrow Bank Country Holiday Park is also a mere five-minute walk from the friendly village of Eardisland with its beautiful black-and-white Tudor cottages, where you'll find a community-run shop, a tea room and a traditional local pub.

These self-catering Hereford lodges are the ideal way to enjoy these scenic surroundings. Sleeping 4 people, with one double bedroom (with en-suite shower) and one twin bedroom, these superb holiday homes are fully furnished and comfortably appointed.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a self-catering break, with a fridge-freezer, microwave, oven and hob. There's a lounge complete with a TV and DVD player, as well as a separate dining area for meals together. Outside you'll find your own private decking, as well as private off-road parking adjacent to your lodge. Free wi-fi is also provided.

Linen and towels are provided with your rental, and there are laundry facilities available on site. All lodges also come with double glazing and central heating, to ensure you stay comfortable whatever time of year you visit. These holiday homes are also pet friendly, so you can even bring along the dog!

If you're looking for fishing opportunities, the length of river which runs through the resort is brimming with chub and brown trout. Fishing here is free, and exclusive to people staying on site.

As a guest of Arrow Bank Country Holiday Park, you'll also have access to the Lakeside Bar & Bistro at the sister resort of Pearl Lake Leisure Park in Shobdon, just a 12-minute drive away. You can also use the golfing facilities for £7 per person and the fishing lake for £4 per person.

Stayed at this site for a weekend and what a pleasure it was.......the site is well maintained, facilities spotlessly clean and the staff are extremely friendly. The added bonus was the short walk into the village......exquisite black and white cottages along the riverbank, great pub (which brews their own beer) and a Community Shop selling locally grown produce. This was our first visit to this site but will definitely not be our last, already planning a return!

Amazing find, lovely peaceful location and a comfy, well equipped lodge in private position on the park. Emma and the team on the park were extremely helpful. Quick 10 minute walk into the village with village store and country pubs. Excellent secure dog field, our puppy Frank also enjoyed it very much!. Very clean spacious lodge. If you’re looking for a lovely quiet park with nice walks and a cosy private lodge then book this place, it’s great!

What can I do?

River and Lake Fishing

A river winds along the boundary of the resort, providing an opportunity to fish for trout, grayling and chub as you relax in natural surroundings. Guests of Hereford Lodges are also invited to make use of the private fishing facilities at its sister park, Pearl Lake, for just £4 per person per day. There you'll find a natural 15-acre spring-fed lake brimming with carp, tench, bream and pike.

Golfing

If you're a golf enthusiast, you won't run short of places to play. Nearby Pearl Lake offers a fantastic 9-hole course that's sure to pose a challenge to golfers of all skill levels. There's also Leominster Golf Club, with its modern clubhouse and brilliantly stocked pro shop, the gorgeous Kington Golf Club, which offers sweeping views of the local landscape, and Herefordshire Golf Club, the oldest club in the county.

Walking

If you're looking for a relaxing stroll in beautiful surroundings, there are a number of great walking routes in the area. There's over 2km of countryside trails available to explore on the private land of the resort. Alternatively, you can take a ten-minute wander to the nearby village of Eardisland to visit their tea shop or inviting pub, or undergo a slightly more substantial hike to one of the many other traditional English villages in the area.

Traditional villages

Just five minutes' walk from the resort, you'll find the picturesque village of Eardisland, replete with wonderful examples of traditional black-and-white Tudor cottages. Beyond the sightseeing opportunities, you'll also find local pubs, a delightful tea room, and a community-run shop. There are a number of other beautiful villages within walking distance, including Pembridge, contender for Channel 4's Village of the Year 2018.
