Looking for something special to do with the kids for the Easter holidays in 2020? Why not make some really great family memories and enjoy some amazing Easter activities and events? Devon is a great place to enjoy a fun-filled Easter calendar so it’s a great opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable time – maybe you could even book a last-minute break to enjoy a short or week-long Easter escape.

Eggstreme Easter at Woodlands

Woodlands Theme Park, near Dartmouth, has a range of amazing Easter activities running from the 28th March to the 13th April 2020. Meet the fun-loving Easter Bunny in his magical grotto, with a free gift for every child, and explore the enchanted world of Easter and all it has to offer. Kids can also find special tokens around the park that they can exchange for a chocolate goodie in the gift shop.

But that’s not all there is to see at Woodlands this Easter. On the 4th and 5th of April, dinosaur mad kids won’t want to miss their chance to experience the Woodlands Dino Days, where they can step into a prehistoric world and meet interactive dinosaurs such as the fearsome Roary and the adorable (yet ferocious) baby velociraptor.

On the 3rd and the 11th April, Fizzpop Science will be hosting some amazing shows and workshops that kids will love – they can learn to make slime and explore the world of bubbles. Or perhaps they’d rather enjoy the cybernetic blend of comedy, music and street theatre supplied by the incredible Titan the Robot and his fun-packed show on the 9th of April.

And that’s not all – there’s also the Woodland Supastarz, the park’s entertainment scene, performing a range of brand new shows including the Pesky Pirates, the Woodlands Wild West Show, and the festive Alice & the Bunny Hunt. On Friday 10th April, kids can also meet Duggee from the popular preschool children’s show Hey Duggee.

Make a real Easter holiday of it this year and book a break in Penveron, a beautiful holiday cottage with enclosed front and rear gardens, which boasts views across the Dart Estuary and Devon’s glorious South Hams scenery.

This amazing property has space to sleep 5 (as well as room for an additional child) and is located in the riverside village of Dittisham, which has a waterfront tearoom, a lovely village shop, and two great pubs.

Crealy Eggo-Saurus Dino Hunt

At Crealy Theme Park and Resort, Devon’s biggest family theme park, a prehistoric Easter treat awaits you with the Eggo-Saurus Dino Hunt, which runs from the 30th March to the 13th April 2020.

With far more to sink their teeth into than the usual Easter Bunny festivities, kids will instead be searching the park for the locations of a collection of dinosaur eggs. They’ll solve riddles and figure out clues to hunt them down, marking off every one they find on a special map.

Along the way they’ll get to learn fascinating facts about favourite dinosaurs, and once they’ve tracked down all the eggs they can claim a deliciously chocolatey prize to reward their efforts.

Of course, there’s more to a visit to Crealy during Easter than just the egg hunt. A range of exciting rides will be opened for the first time following the winter break, so there’s plenty of thrill-packed fun to be had for a full family day out.

And during the Easter holidays you’ll get 7 days’ admission to the park for the price of 1 – so if you’d like to return in the six days following your first visit, it’s absolutely free!

Looking for the perfect place to stay for a visit or two to Crealy Theme Park and Resort? Why not enjoy an Easter escape to these seaside apartments in Torquay?

These apartments boast a superb location overlooking Torre Abbey Sands beach and the famous Tor Bay, making for a stunning sight whether the changeable April weather offers sunny days or stormy skies. These comfortable apartments guarantee a relaxing stay, and you’re also conveniently close to the centre of Torquay and all its attractions and amenities, including great restaurants and shopping opportunities as well as the fantastic marina.

Another great Easter attraction to check out while you’re in Torquay is the Babbacombe Model Village, where the countless miniature scenes offer another very special Easter egg hunt.
